This is because burger is affordable hence people find it to give more value for less money, they also come in a variety of tastes such as Italian beef burger, hot dog and different forms of dressings like mayonnaise, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes and jalapenos. People also find burgers as the perfect meal because they are able to get free fries and drinks when they purchase one. Other reasons why people still prefer burgers to other foods is because they are available any time of the day you want and they are very delicious. Since burger was one of the very first fast food to be prepared, people find it hard to leave their old habits.

Obesity and weight gain in most of the burger and fast food consumers is caused by chemical additives such as aspartame and MSG that is used to preserve them but not by the calories. The chemical additives are FDA approved hence they are increasingly used. However, most restaurants today are giving their customer a choice for a health option by serving health diets such as fruit, whole-grain bread, lower-fat fries, salads and bottled water.

It is important for people to choose healthy diets over burgers as they lack nutritional value and puts the health of the consumer at risk of illnesses like obesity, diabetes and heart attacks. To be able to keep healthy, one should ensure that they eat burgers occasionally and health food most of the time and exercise as much as they can.
